Humans Cannot Achieve Speeds Greater than the Speed of Light?

Many believe that mankind can never ever achieve speeds greater than the speed of light. Recently in a major online think tank the debate became quite heated indeed. Think tankers on each side of the equation lined up to offer glimpses of potential truth and theories. Some lined up with Einsteins thoughts on the matter, others with their own theories and concepts. One spiritual type started the entire group into a frenzy and launched a heated debate when he stated; Speeds greater than light can be achieved because there are beings in the universe far greater than humans who travel at speeds far greater than light.

Immediately he was challenged by another for his ascertain and stated: Produce such evidence to conclude and validate your point. If you cannot then you cannot prove your point and thus you should not be discussing this in the absolute.

Then the spiritual aggressor resorted back to Einsteins theory and stated; There are also energy forms that travel f ar greater than light energy. Light energy is not the only energy in the cosmos.

Of course no one was about to allow him to remain wishy washy on the subject just because he reverted back to stating the obvious. You see, it stands to reason that there are energy forms that travel in excess of the speed of light and we have measured what we believe to be such. This is known and does not validate his previous statements. This is not to say they are not so, it is to say this information is further proof that the speed of light can be obtained and surpassed in energy form or something of no mass which is basically what Einstein had stated.

Moral of the story? Be very weary of know it all spiritual ones who attempt to baffle with bullsht to get you to join a new religion or line of reasoning without proof of substance of their knowledge. Think on this in 2006.
